Leading up to and throughout the festival weekend there with be paintings and sculptures on view at Harrison’s gallery on the main Port Road, in Whangamata. This will culminate in a grand festival auction at Harrison’s gallery on Sunday afternoon the 22nd of November.
Featured will be ten works of art, each valued at several thousand dollars. Including work by leading New Zealand artists such as Hayley Brown.
The bidding will start at $200- YES, JUST 200 DOLLARS for each painting. Come along, share the excitement, and maybe you will leave with the finest and most beautiful bargain of your life.

Also throughout the town there will be art on display, at cafés, restaurants and many venues including our local Arts and Craft Society’s famous Yellow Balloon Trail. Paintings, ceramics, carvings, jewellery, mosaics, quilts and not least a warm welcome will await you at every house in Whangamata where yellow balloons are hanging.
